[EN] [Market Analysis] Will Big Tech Continues to Lead the U.S. Stock Market?
Hello, this is Bbiri! ๐ Today’s post explores the
fascinating correlation between technology and the stock market.
For the past few years, the "Big Tech
7" (including giants like Google and Meta) have been the primary drivers
of the S&P 500. But will this trend continue? Here are my thoughts on the
future of market leadership.
Initially, I anticipated that the AI
industry—particularly hardware like GPUs—would plateau after a period of rapid
growth. However, with the emergence of 'World Models' (AI that
understands the physical laws of the world), I now believe that sustainable
growth will persist for some time.
The key difference moving forward, however,
is that the market may no longer rely solely on Big Tech. I foresee a shift
where Robotics, Space Exploration, and Biotechnology join the front
lines of market growth. As noted in a recent article, AI has evolved beyond
being a mere "tool" and has reached the level of an "environment"
in which we live.
We are entering an era of profound change:
human labor is being augmented or replaced by robots in the industrial sector,
and humanity is venturing toward a multi-planetary future through space
exploration.
Therefore, while the ripple effect of Big
Tech on the U.S. market remains immense, I believe leadership will diversify.
The absolute dominance of a few tech giants may slightly diminish as a broader
range of innovative companies begin to drive the next wave of economic
expansion.
In tandem with these societal shifts, I
anticipate that various social issues will inevitably arise. I believe that
effectively addressing these challenges will play a meaningful role in ensuring
the sustainable growth of the U.S. economy, the global market, and the stock
market at large.
